Start a fire in any weather! Sparks are produced when the striker or a knife is scraped along the fire steel, and a fire, charcoal grill, or gas grill can be ignited. The sparks have a temperature of around 3000 °C. Also functions in rain and snow, which makes the fire steel highly reliable. A favourite among survivalists the world over! Can be used approx. 8000 times. Fire steel length: 70 mm, thickness: 0.8 mm. Striker length: 75 mm, width: 20 mm, thickness: 1 mm.
Instructions: #Create a tinder ball out of dry grass, dry twigs (max. 3 mm thick), bark, etc. Aim the sparks toward the tinder to ignite the fire.
#Scrape the paint off the fire steel when first used.
#Slowly and with force scrape the striker/metal plate (with markings facing upwards) or a knife blade downwards over the fire steel.
#The sparks will easily ignite a gas burner, paper, bark, dry grass.
#When the tinder ball begins to burn, move it to the cooking pit, grill, etc. to be ignited.
