Treat the wood so the sandbox lasts longer
To ensure the sandbox lasts longer, it must be treated with wood oil. Treat once before first use, and then once every spring before it is placed out. It is recommended that a lock is fitted to the cover to prevent children from climbing into the sandbox or injuring themselves in some other way.
Check regularly during use:
• Are there splinters that children may get in their hands? If so, use sandpaper to remove splinters and bumps in the wood. • Are there any screws sticking out that may injure children? If so, screw in or replace them.
