Applying window paint
When applying window paint, the surface must be clean and dry. Always clean and prime surfaces with a primer oil before you start painting. After priming, you should also prime with Biltema’s Outdoor Primer, and then apply two coats of our window paint. If your windows have been painted previously, you will need to clean them before repainting. A good product to use is Biltema’s paint cleaner, which must be rinsed off afterwards.

Oil Primer
Primer Oil is specially developed to act as a penetrating priming oil before painting/repainting. The primer oil penetrates the wood without forming a surface layer and effectively counteracts cracking, mould and fungus. In addition, the primer oil provides good adhesion for later coats of paint.
Primer
Primer can essentially be used whenever priming wood outdoors. Primer has good coverage, good penetration, excellent adhesion and filling.
Apply the primer with a dense brush and work it well into the wood. End sections and timber joints must be given extra attention – these surfaces can be treated with primer oil before priming.
