Biltema Foundation donates SEK 12 million to Save the Children for work in Gaza and Ukraine
Biltema Foundation’s decision continues the foundation’s support to Save the Children, with a clear focus on being present where children’s needs are greatest. The new donation allows ongoing efforts on the ground to continue and be strengthened, while ensuring long-term support so that children have access to healthcare, protection, and continued learning even during protracted crises.
“Our mission is to stand on the side of children. This gift helps Save the Children be there when it truly matters,” says Adelina Voci, Biltema Foundation.
The funds are divided equally between Gaza and Ukraine. In Gaza, efforts focus on urgent health and nutrition support for the youngest children, improved access to clean water and hygiene to prevent disease, and safe spaces where children receive psychosocial support and have the opportunity to keep learning despite the conflict.
In Ukraine, the support targets children’s safety and protection in affected areas, and the continuation of schooling—both in person and digitally—while families receive help to cope with everyday life after attacks. In both countries, cash assistance is used where it brings the greatest and fastest benefit for the most urgent needs.
“Save the Children makes a difference every day. Our donation gives them the resources to help more children where it is most needed, so children not only survive but also get to be children,” says Adelina Voci, Biltema Foundation.
