Different types of asphalt for paving the driveway or repairing asphalt

There is lots of different types of asphalt. When using asphalt yourself, you can use one or more of the following products:

• Cold Mix Asphalt is a type of asphalt that is not heated before being used. It is cheaper to use than other varieties and is also easy to spread. But it does not adhere as well as some other varieties. Therefore, it is mainly used as a primer coating on dried roofing felt or to create a moisture-repellent surface on concrete surfaces or house foundations.
• Asphalt Glue is used for nailing and joining roofing felt. This type of asphalt can also be used for repairs or sealing.
• Asphalt Repair is best suited for repairing tracks, holes and pits.
• Asphalt Primer is a thin liquid asphalt solution used to prime and impregnate concrete roofs and roofing coating. It can also be used to pre-treat surfaces that will later be moisture-insulated with cold mix asphalt.
• Roofing Coating is a rubber- and fibre-reinforced asphalt coating that can be spread onto sheet metal, board, and concrete.
